ETS God's Word transforming every sphere of life

Frank Fuentes
Librarian and OID Director

This Office coordinates the Van Dyk Seminary Library, the Department of Investigation and Documentation (for ETS faculty, local pastors and visiting scholars), and two future theological museums: the Dr. Max Lathrop Mexico Missions Museum, and the Dr. Cruz-Granados Museum of the Early History of the Christian Church in the Rio Grande Valley.

The Library of the seminary, containing works in English, Spanish and the original Biblical languages, is especially recognized for its manuscripts and books documenting the unique advancement of the missionary growth of the Church in the Rio Grande Valley. It has, in addition, a large amount of equally important and unique theological, philosophical and ecclesiastical world-view studies covering the full-orbed experiences of God’s people in the history of the Church throughout the ages.

The
Office of Investigation and Documentation facilitates ETS, students, as well as national and international scholars and investigators who are visiting the institution for study and academic research. It looks after the documents and antique books, and prints and makes accessible the writings of the seminary. Every user of the Library, or of the services of Investigation and Documentation, must present an identification card.

We extend a heart-felt request for cooperation, both from local and visiting winter-Texan volunteers, in the search for and selection of books which would grace the Seminary, as well as your help in the classification and maintenance of this collection. Our fervent desire and hope is to see many future scholars in our Seminary Library, each preparing for a life of service under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
